More Glass

And my Lemon Drop shot revisited. I used the same setup as in the previous post, and tilted the camera to give more movement to the image. I don't like the splash as much as the last one, but I have several ideas how to make it even better next time...

Cinco de Mayo, the fifth of May, so what could be more appropriate than a margarita? We don't have margarita glasses (nice ones seem to be incredibly difficult to find), but the drink is awesome! As the illegal immigrants say, sláinte :)

Bubbles in my G&T, which I enjoyed in the lovely sunshine on our deck just before the storm blew in :)

There's nothing nicer after a long day at work (and we start at noon!) than a good drink. These are some serious Long Island Iced Teas that we are about to enjoy (responsibly, of course!).

Doing some Website work this afternoon. It's a gorgeous day, and I think I deserve a little treat. I'm quite sure all the best Websites are fuelled by booze anyway!

1 part brandy

1 part sour mix

dash grenadine

Sex On The Bike Trail

Having come home from a nice bike ride the other day, we were disappointed to find that we didn't have the necessary ingredients for our drink of choice, sex on the beach. Not to be thwarted by this, however, we came up with our own concoction, which we thought should be named "Sex On The Bike Trail"

(Makes two)

2 oz. Vodka

1 oz. Apricot Brandy

1 oz. Peach Schnapps

Juice of one orange

Stir in mixing glass, then pour into two glasses with ice (I think crushed ice would work best, but cubes will do fine). Float a slice of orange on top, push a straw through the centre, and enjoy!

Hurricane

After a long day's work, and a bracing bike ride, there's nothing nicer than to come home to one of these!

Hurricane recipe
1 pt light rum
1 pt orange rum
1 pt mango rum
1 pt amaretto
1 pt triple sec
1 pt sour mix
3 pts fresh orange juice
3 pts fresh pineapple juice
sink dash of grenadine to bottom
float black strap rum on top
